Founded in 2021, CCBF is a small organization with a few, part-time employees, and a small group of volunteers.

Support Freedom in Craven County Your donation directly frees people held in jail pretrial simply because they cannot afford bail.

Your donation will support CCBF in one or more of the following ways:

Community Aid

• Costs of communicating with people inside to assess eligibility and develop a Supportive Release plan

• Costs of transportation to and from court or other appointments related to the outcome of the case

• Costs of communicating with people post-release

• Basic needs like food, diapers, clothing for people post-release

Bail Capital

• We are fortunate to have access to a significant loan and some grant funding that covers most of the bond fees.

• However, in the event that we have exceeded these amounts, your donation might be used toward a bond payment.

Operating Costs

• We are careful to minimize over-head costs and operate out of home offices, however there are still costs for staffing, maintaining our website, community outreach materials, and more.
